Plugin Review: WordPress Admin Style

By Chad Butler 1 Comment

As a plugin developer, one of the most time-consuming aspects of development is putting together admin panels. With the effort that goes into this end of the development, you want your admin panels to look slick and professional – you want them to integrate seamlessly and look like they belong to WordPress.  [Read more…]

Updates

Well, it is good to be finally getting everything moved over to the new site. It is a long process. The blog has developed some good search engine traffic that I do not want to lose, so I am using Angsuman’s Permanent Redirect plugin to set up permanent redirects for each post from the old domain. In order to speed things up, rather than use the WordPress admin to set the redirects, I am adding these to the postmeta table in the database directly via Navicat.

Also, I have email newsletter plugin in development. I know there are already email plugins for WordPress, so who needs another one, right? Well, once again, there are a number of plugins that have some features I am looking for, but not ALL the features I’m looking for. Also, this plugin will need to integrate with the WP-Members plugin, so I am starting from scratch. Once it is stable, I’ll release it as a stand-alone. Then I’ll work on integrating into the WP-Members 2.0 release.

Not to leave the Verse-O-Matic out in the cold, I’ll be working on some upgrades there as well.

Thanks for the support!
