Michael is an independent author with a good deal of talent. This book is a prequel to another series of his and he is close to breaking the 1000 book barrier – a 1000 copies of a single title in a single month. That is a huge feat for an indie author who doesn’t have the power of the publishing establishment behind him.
Why am I promoting this? I know it seems a little out of the ordinary for content on this blog, which generally relates to WordPress and all things blogging. But Michael is a kindred spirit – he’s the small guy trying to take on the giants with big bankrolls, just like me. And besides, I’ve read the book and I thought it was fantastic. I read a lot of indie books – or I should say I “try” to read them – so much of the self published material is complete crap these days. The barrier to entry is so low that any moron (and I do mean moron) can publish a book and list it on Amazon.
So when an independent voice comes along that actually has talent to write a compelling story, I have to spread that news.
And believe me, you’ll be thankful when you buy the Kindle edition of the book. Not only is it a bargain at 99 cents, you are going to need to inline dictionary feature of Kindle – Michael’s mastery of the English language will be an encouragement for you to hone up your vocabulary.
So let’s help Michael out and push him over the 1000 book mark for February!
