The register option doesn’t show up. What could I have done wrong?

It may simply be a case of not looking in the right place – the default installation puts login and registration forms in place of blocked content (which in the default install would be posts). However, there are many other ways to use the plugin, so the answer depends on what you have set up. You can set up a registration page using the register shortcode. If you put the url of that page in the plugin’s settings, a link to it will show in the login form. These things are covered more indepth in the readme file, the Quick Start Guide, and the Users Guide.
