Save Michael Morales?
I recently read an article entitled “Save Michael Morales“. The author asks the following question:
The question remains, should we, at the execution hour of 12:01 a.m. on Feb. 21, care if Michael Morales lives or dies?
Unfortunately, he gives the following answer to his rhetorical question:
The answer is yes. We cannot ignore the intrinsic immorality of state-sponsored murder. If the right to life is a fundamental human right, it must apply universally, to all human beings.
We will always fall short in our efforts to honor human rights, to forgive, to reconcile, to rehabilitate and to heal. But we cannot, must …
Recent Reading
I am currently working through two books. (I commute into the city by train, and typically find that utilizing this time for reading allows me to complete a fair number of books in a short time.)
The first is The Case for Christ. This book by Lee Strobel is an excellent disection of the historical accuracy of the gospel story. As a former atheist and investigative journalist for the Chicago Tribune, Strobel works through the various arguments …
Sad Science

I’ve got a little more work to do on it and I may release it as a plugin.

As I read them, I began to understand how little understanding I had of the true nature of spiritual things. And it was through this understanding of not understanding that I was finally able to understand.
Also, for material that was written over a half century ago, I found it quite relevent, even today. Reading these two books will give you insight into good & evil, right & wrong, and …
