Whom do our elected officials represent?

“Your faces are the faces of America.” - Hillary Clinton

Yesterday, I saw elected officials of this country pandering to people that are not citizens, not voters. Yet our officials are treating them as if they are. I have news for Hillary. Unless you are calling all Americans criminals, these are not the faces of America.

And here is something absurd:
A USA TODAY/Gallup Poll taken Friday through Sunday found a majority of those surveyed want to make it a crime for foreigners to immigrate illegally to the USA and for Americans to help those illegal immigrants once they arrive.
Wait a minute! Make …

Something to think about

In the debate over amnesty for the millions of undocumented (and illegal) aliens living in the United States, it might be time to stop and think about why that really is a bad thing.

Sure there is fodder there for debates on human rights, economics, taxes, the rule of law. The list could go on and on.

But here is the real issue that is not being pointed out enough is that less than 5 years ago, “undocumented” aliens were responsible for the worst terror attack on US soil.
In Michelle Malkin’s book Invasion, she recounts the tale of two fellows who in …

Uprising in the Making

I’ve been meaning to write on the immigration protests for some time. I’ve held off because I just haven’t completely developed my platform on the issues. However, I have to throw this short discourse out there because it is of concern.

We currently have an estimated 11 million illegals (yes, “illegals,” not “undocumented workers.” If you came here outside of proper channels, you are here illegally. There is no mincing words on this fact.) in the United States. Large numbers of these people are being incited to protest the current immigration reform.

Now, I work in downtown Chicago, so I witnessed one …

The Attack on Christianity Continues

Well St. Paul Minnesota has fired a shot on Easter. The city’s human rights director (I’d love to see THAT job description) decided that an Easter display in the city council offices could be considered offensive by non-Christians.

Here’s the story:

City Hall evicts Easter BunnySt. Paul civil rights chief says non-Christians might find the holiday decoration offensive

In other news, the city of St. Paul has decided that its name might also be considered offensive to non-Christians and will be changing its name to “Saul.”

Incompetent

It is the Democrats’ new favorite word.   And as John Podhoretz of the New York Post notes, “Calling Bush and the Republicans incompetent is a way of offering a critique. As an act of name-calling, it’s far less incendiary than words like ‘liar’ and ‘fascist’ and ‘torturer.’”

Unfortunately for Democrats, their own incompetence has shown through in this most recent campaign of criticism.

They have done what they seem to always to best - offer critique with no solution - no alternative plan.   “Oh, we’ve got a plan,” they always say.   But we never actually SEE that plan.
