Justice is indeed perverse

There are many strange things going on in our justice system right now that are, when you think about it, perverse.

Scooter Libby is a man who has been charged with the sin of having a different recollection of events than that others interviewed in the Plame-gate investigations.  I am not going to get into a discussion of whether he was right or wrong, lying intentionally, or anything of that nature.  Anyone reading this will fall into one of three camps, unlikely to ever change their mind:

You hate the Bush administration and want to see Libby rot in jail as some …

No WMDs - Fact or Fiction?

Posted on February 22, 2006 | Filed Under Iraq, Politics

Last Month, Georges Sada, Saddam Hussein’s No. 2 man in the Iraqi Air Force, confirmed to the New York Sun that Iraqi WMDs were moved to Syria just before the war began [ Iraq's WMD Secreted in Syria, Sada Says ]
Mr. Sada, 65, told the Sun that the pilots of the two airliners that transported the weapons of mass destruction to Syria from Iraq approached him in the middle of 2004, after Saddam was captured by American troops.
These pilots appearently told Sada that two commercial Iraqi Airways Boeings were converted to transport planes by removing …

Saddam and the Terrorists

You won’t hear too much, if any, of this in the main stream media.

The left would love you to believe that Saddam not only had no weapons of mass destruction but also that he had no connection to terrorists. Unfortunately, if you believe that to be reality, you probably already “own” a number of bridges and some very lovely “waterfront” property in central Southern Florida.

WMD issues aside (we’ve discussed them before), …

Can Democrats Reid?

Once again, the Democratic Leadership is uttering things that, to an educated and informed public, would be considered ridiculous. Unfortunately, it is my opinion that the majority of people listening to people like Harry Reid last night take what they are told at face value.

While President Bush was giving his speech last night [ full transcript ] and discussing his Strategy for Victory in Iraq [ read it here ], Harry Reid was giving a little rhetoric of his own. And he is hoping that you will believe him and not actually listen to (or read) the President’s …

A Voice Crying in the Wilderness

Just who is Sam Johnson?

He is a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He survived as a POW after being shot down over Vietnam. A decorated war hero, Johnson was awarded two Silver Stars, two Legions of Merit, the Distinguished Flying Cross, one Bronze Star with Valor, two Purple Hearts, four Air Medals, and three Outstanding Unit Awards. And he is a US Congressman representing the 3rd District of Texas.

During the current debate on the War in Iraq and all of the hubbub about what a great war hero and influential member of Congress John Murtha is, …
