Helen Thomas.

In case you don’t know who she is, she is the fossil of the White House press corps. She absolutely despises and loathes George W. Bush and consistently shows a complete lack of respect for the current administration. Having her seat moved to the back of the room (which I found to be very entertaining) has made her all the more fiesty.

So get this - the USA Today report on the NSA collecting phone records (wording is key here, so pay attention), seems to be fabricated. Bellsouth and AT&T, 2 of the 3 companies named in the report, have said it is untrue (Verizon could not confirm nor deny). Interesting. Kind of makes you wonder about the quality of reporters at USA Today, doesn’t it?

So where does Helen Thomas fit in to this? That ever so classy lady asked Tony Snow yesterday if it was true that “that millions of Americans have been wiretapped?” Hmmmmm… Sounds like Helen needs her bifocals or her hearing aid checked (remember I said wording is key).

Helen, we all know you have an axe to grind, but you look stupid when you blatantly spin this in an untruthful manner. No one, including USA Today who can’t seem to get the story right anyway, ever said that Americans were being wiretapped. You are clearly unfit for your post and you should retire.
