The New York Senate Race is Finally Interesting

Well, up until now, the race for New York’s Senate seat was entirely UN-interesting. The only interest for me has been wondering, “Why would people vote for an incumbent that is going to spend the first two years of her term campaigning for another office?” (And if they think she won’t, they are living with their heads in the sand.) Personally, I prefer a Senator that is actually going to be showing up at the office rather than getting out on the campaign trail. Other than that, there was no likely opponent in the race. And Pirro, before she withdrew, didn’t seem to have the guts to take on Clinton head-on (at least she never got any serious press, which I suspect she would have if she had taken the gloves off).

Snore…

But now, thing seem to have gotten interesting. Former Yonkers Mayor and Vietnam combat veteran John Spencer has stepped in from behind the curtain. And why is he suddenly getting some press? He did what Pirro wouldn’t do - he’s taking off the gloves. Finally, someone with some backbone!

Read this article on Newsmax.com - Hillary Challenger John Spencer Blasts Clinton Terror Record. Spencer is going after Hillary’s husband’s weak record on terror head-on. At first one might say that’s not her problem, she wasn’t president, she was just the First Lady. But, Spencer is quick to point out that Hillary is more than happy to take credit for any of Bill’s successes as if they were her own. By that logic, she is just as responsible for any failures, of which a lame stance on the terrorist threat is definately one.

This race may actually get interesting.
