Nancy Pelosi’s Glass House

Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi could take a lesson here. Following the resignation of Repbulican Rep. Randy “Duke” Cunningham, she made the following statement:

“This offense is just the latest example of the culture of corruption that pervades the Republican-controlled Congress, which ignores the needs of the American people to serve wealthy special interests and their cronies.”

[Full statement]

Interesting.

Are we to believe then, that Democrats lead a squeaky clean life? Appearently, Ms. Pelosi needs her memory jogged. As recently as 2002, we had a Democrat expelled from Congress for felony bribery, …

The Crawford Crackpot is back in Texas. Check out this AP photo of the people lined up at her book signing. It warms my heart. (I didn’t even know she had a book. Of course I would not waste my money buying it, nor my time reading it; but that’s another story.)

Jimmy Carter. The man was a failure as a president, and he is clearly a failure as an elder statesman. No one knows how many marbles he has left clunking around in his empty head, but it is clearly not very many.

His latest babbling (in between an aid wiping the drool from his mouth) is that he is convinced that Al Gore won the 2000 election. The reality, which I may or may not …

Just who is Sam Johnson?

He is a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He survived as a POW after being shot down over Vietnam. A decorated war hero, Johnson was awarded two Silver Stars, two Legions of Merit, the Distinguished Flying Cross, one Bronze Star with Valor, two Purple Hearts, four Air Medals, and three Outstanding Unit Awards. And he is a US Congressman representing the 3rd District of Texas.

During the current debate on the War in Iraq and all of the hubbub about what a great war hero and influential member of Congress John Murtha is, …

Summed Up Nicely

There was an article on RealClearPolitics discussing what a bad week it has been for Abu Musab al Zarqawi, who seems to have escaped the jaws of death once again. A bad week for Zarqawi means a good week for us.

Anyway, at the end of the article is a very nice summation of the Murtha situation [ more on that here ]. I very much enjoyed it and will share it with you here:

Showing more backbone and more brains than they customarily do, House Republicans called for a vote on immediate withdrawal from Iraq. It failed, 404-3. Democrats who’d …
