Know Who You Are Supporting

So you want to join the protest? You are against the war. “Bring them home now!” you say.

If you think for one second that the protestors in Washington this weekend are in any way being patriotic (as they claim), you are severly disillusioned.

Some people are so insensed with their hatred of George Bush, they will jump on any “Anti-Bush” bandwagon that happens by. For example, the anti-war, anti-Bush crowd jumped behind Democratic nominee John Kerry even though he was for the removal Saddam. They left the actual anti-war candidate Howard Dean in a dusty Iowa cornfield wondering how his hate of George Bush didn’t help him win.

Now, as then, it is the same thing. The Bush-haters jump in bed with the first bus to go by, without knowing who they are getting involved with (or maybe they do, but I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt).
