Down the Political Path

I hate to take this blog further down the political path, but I guess I brought that on myself. So, in regards to some of my comments on Cindy Sheehan, here are some comments I recently received from Mr. Mark Patterson :

lost two friends in vietnam, THEY DIED FOR NOTHING, 1800 in iraq, DIED FOR NOTHING. saddam was poised to flood europe with cheap oil, his sanctions lifted, europe, russia, china, all would have got cheap oil, then suddenly HE HAS WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION,NUCLEAR, CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL, HE IS POISED TO ATTACK US!!!, lies, and those people should …

Sad Science

I recently had an interesting conversation with a coworker (actually a subordinate of mine). I was returning a copy of a recent issue of Time Magazine after photocopying an article that I wanted to read later. He assumed that I was reading (or copying) the cover story on the Creation vs. Evolution debate and asked what I thought of the article. I mentioned that I was actually interested in a different article.

Well, he went on to say that it was a great article and I should read it. He asked me what my take on the situation was and what …

Casanova’s Music of the Night

Our first alpaca was Casanova’s Music of the Night. She is a nice, true black girl out of 2003 All American Futurity Herdsire of the Year Snowmass Peruvian Casanova. Her dam is an AOBA National Fleece winner, La Huachita. Music is currently bred to Benchmark’s Peruvian Bam Bam for a Spring ‘06 cria. We are excited since this will be our first cria, and with these bloodlines, we have high hopes for our new “child.”

Here is one of the best quotes I’ve seen that sums up why it’s important to support the troops in their mission:

In Vacaville, Toni Colip, 50, said her son, David, went to high school with Casey Sheehan and is now in the Marines, although not in Iraq. She said her son opposes Sheehan’s activities and has asked her to support his military service even if he is injured or killed.

“He said, ‘Don’t dishonor me, don’t walk on my grave,’” Colip said.

StatTraq Site Statistics Plugin and Adding It to the Admin Menu

Posted on August 18, 2005 | Filed Under WordPress

In my previous blog, I was used a plugin called StatTraq for getting site statistics. It was fairly easy to set up as it was a WordPress plugin. So it was logical that, now that Randy Peterman has updated his plugin for WordPress 1.5, that I install StatTraq for this blog as well.

You can download the beta (1.0b) here.

Also, here’s a little trick. Once you get it installed, if you want to add a link to your admin menu to jump over to StatTraq, follow the steps below.

Go to /wp-admin/ and find “menu.php”
Make a copy of the original …
